Grandaddy and Annmaw

Since before Alexander was born, we have been talking about taking a trip up to North Texas so that everyone could meet the baby, but with needing at least 6 weeks to recover and Gaelan having a hard time finding time off, we haven't been able to do it. Well we got a pleasant surprise when Gaelan's Grandaddy and Annmaw decided that they would come visit us instead. We had no problem lugging us and 2 kids up there, but they said they thought it would be easier for them to come here than us going up there, so they came down last weekend and we had a great time!
First Matthew had to prepare and give them a good welcome! So I helped him spell it out on his magnet board, which is one of his favorite things to do now.

Matthew was very excited to play and he did really well for the first hour. It's great that he can count, knows his colors, and knows what all the cards are, makes it easier to let him be involved.

Sorry for the face, but Peanut had just smiled at me for the first time and I was very excited!

We were so glad that they came to visit and meet this newest Great Grandson! We had a blast and can't wait to see them again!
