Well it has been an interesting week or so! As for the baby. After watching the sono video like 100 times and having others view it too; we aren't sure what the baby is yet. Now, I am not in denial about it being a boy, I will be happy with and love whatever God blesses us with; but I want to be 100% sure of what it is before we make a declaration and go out and buy all the stuff. The sono tech might have seen "it" clearly, but she did the scan so fast, we just can't see it. So for now we are saying unsure. ( I have changed the blog that has the video, romoved boy, until we know! ) Which is ok. I still want to know before the birth, so that I can prepare, but I can wait a little longer. I will have another sono at 34 weeks and then an amnio at 35 weeks, so we will know then! So instead of buying all the baby stuff now, we are putting that money toward Matthew's fall/winter wardrobe that he really needs! The baby is doing great. I on the other hand never know from one day to the next! Sunday night I started having really bad chest and back pains and called the doc, they said go to ER. So we woke up Matthew at midnight and off we went. Turned out to be gas (crazy), thought I was having a heart attack!! Freaked Gaelan and I out a lot, but relieved that all was fine, EXCEPT!!! I have a UTI. I laughed out loud when the doc told me! That was the last thing I expected! I had just been to my OB on Wed and everything was fine and I have been controlling my bladder spasms really well. Just could not believe it, but apparently it was really bad and I had no symptoms. So I am on antibiotics once again and hoping that this will be the last of the dramatics for a long time! This baby gets a kick out of torturing me and keeping me on my toes. LOL
On to Matthew. Potty training is going really well! We are in big boy underwear all day except when he goes to bed at night. He has a few accidents here and there, but they are getting few and far between! He is now going to the big potty in the bathroom! It's been longer in between and doesn't always go, but no accidents! A couple of days ago he started telling me that he needed to go! As for poopy, that has been a struggle. I have been lucky the past few times, I have caught him before he did anything and got him to the potty. Today he surprised me though! I thought that he was in his room playing when I hear him say "Mommy I went poopy!" I was like great, he went in his underwear. I asked him and he replied "no, in the potty". I go in the bathroom and there he is, sitting on the potty so proud and sure enough he went in the potty. I was in shock!! He didn't say anything. Usually he comes and say " I didn't go in my underwear" which means that he did or is about too, nor did I hear him run down the hall way like I do a 100 times a day. I am so proud of him and he is doing a great job! I told him that he was getting to be such a good big boy and little man and he said "yeah, and I'll be a good big brother"
He is getting more excited about the baby. Still don't think he understands completely. Up until a few weeks ago, he has never really been around little babies before. He likes to feel the baby move and wants to wake it up when its not moving and he yells in my bellybutton telling the baby to wake up! He is always asking me if the baby is coming out, and I have to tell him that it will be a while. LOL I am hoping now that some of our friends from Sunday School now have little babies, he will get used to them. I think he thinks that the baby is going to come out and start playing with him.
So that's our lives right now. Sorry so long! But I haven't blog a lot lately, so I guess I am just keeping everyone up to date! LOL
