Enjoying the nice weather!

We were glad when the rain, humidity and heat went away and it was just plain nice to be outside. So on Friday and for the first time since we have moved to Pearsall, we went to a playground. Sadly there are no stay at home Moms that I have met, so the playground was empty, but we made the best of it, and even chased some butterflies. Those by the way are very abundant down here right now because they are migrating south!

Saturday we did some work around the house, inside and out.
Sunday after Church we went to this great pumpkin patch they have in the town of Devine, which is on our way home for San Antonio, This place is great, huge farm where they grow Christmas trees; a little pricey to get in, $8 a person, including Matthew, but they have so much to do and see, we didn't even have time to do it all! Pumpkin Painting, Hay maze, Hayride, animal feeding, and too much more to list.
First some lunch there, then a pic. (some of these might look familiar, we went to this same one a couple of years ago and took some of the same pics, go to Oct 2007 to see the first time we went)
But before we could do anything else, he wanted to paint some pumpkins, instead of getting a big one, we decided to let him get a couple of little ones and he enjoyed it very much!

His finished master pieces!

Then to the Hay Maze. Mommy went in with him!
Matthew, Me and my huge rear! LOL if only my baby bump was that big!
This way Mom!!

Here we go, almost to the middle!
Wrong turn
Celebrated making it to the middle by having a little hay fight!
Then he led Daddy out!
We're almost to the exit Daddy!
Racing Daddy to be the first one out!
The Fam enjoying the Hayride, Gaelan took the pic while we were riding, so that's why it's a little "off"
Then we fed the baby goats, so cute!
very fitting, LOL
Some pumpkin pics

Wished we could stay all day, but Daddy has been really busy almost every weekend for a while so we had to get home and do some "work" as Matthew likes to say, but had a great time!
Matthew "helping" Daddy mow the lawn.

Our Dogs
This one is Bear. We have had him for several years now, but the past few years Gaelan's folks have been keeping him. He is such a good dog and very patient with Matthew. He chases Matthew sometimes and plays with him, but most of the time Matthew is torturing him and he just moves away or comes to me, he never growls or snaps at Matthew! Every time I am outside, Bear is at my side, even when I am mowing on the mower. Don't know if he has a 6th sense about me being pregnant, but Gaelan says he is being a good dog and looking out for me.
This is Oscar, Matthew picked out the name from Clifford the Big Red Dog. Oscar adopted us. We think that he was other dumped or he ran away from abusive owners from the way he first acted, but has gotten better. He is a good dog. Gentle and sweet and very obedient. We think that he is not more than a year old. My Mom always took in strays, and I have a soft spot, but still cautious with having Matthew, but Oscar is just as gentle and patient with Matthew as Bear is. Oscar and Bear are best buds too, always together and playing! So unless someone claims him or he shows signs of aggressiveness, he is our new dog!
