KING TUT!!

We went up to OK to help Gaelan's parent move some stuff down to Pearsall (for those of you who might not know, Gaelan's Mom got a transfer to Kerriville and when she retires in about 5 years, they will retire in Pearsall). On our way back from OK, we spent the night at Gaelan's grandparents house in Dallas and went to the King Tut Exhibit at the Dallas Museum of art. It was great! It was a once in a life time thing! Never know how long this stuff will travel and when it will be where we will be able to see it again. It was only going to be in Dallas for the TX part of the tour. If you know me, you know that I LOVE Ancient Egyptian history; so this was a big thrill for me!! We all had a lot of fun. Matthew did well thru most of it, but did get cranky in the 2 hours we were in there. He likes this stuff too! On one of his Little Einstiens DVD they have an adventure in Egypt. He was upset that they didn't have the Great Sphinx. But he liked some of the stuff like the King Tut statues and learning the words "sarcophagus" and "Tutankhamun" Both of which he says really well!

Of course you couldn't take pics inside the exhibit, you can't even take a camera in, but I had to get some pictorial record of my experience so Gaelan took this pic of me with his phone inside the gift shop. It's not King Tut, but it will do.

Of course Matthew got a puzzle!

I got a pair of earrings (and bracelet not pictured) to match the necklace that I got at previous Egyptian exhibit I went to several years ago.

And I got a King Tut pen to go with my other one I get from a teacher friend a few years ago, and a deck of cards.

We had a blast and was very grateful to Mimmi and PaPa for the opportunity!
