How Unconfortable!!

Well today was like any other day in the life of Matthew. Wake Momma up too early, eat, play, eat, nap, play, go to the park, eat, nap, play, eat, and go to bed. We did work on trying to learn colors. He likes to stand at the coffee table and play with stuff, so I got a bunch of toys, first blue ones, played with just them for a while; then green and red. Then I took one of each and told him to go for a particular color. I lined them up red, blue, green, and said "get the blue one", and he got it!! Then I mixed them up, blue, green, red and said "get the green one" and he got that one too!! We did that for a while and 3 out of 5 times he got the right one. Now it might be a coincidence, but I like to think he knew what he was doing and that I might have a little genius on my hands!!! He gets colors but won't learn to clap his hands, who knows!! Well you might think me silly, but wouldn't you or didn't you think the same with yours?!?!?!? Also I made a weird discovery today while he was taking his noon nap. I put him in his swing as usual. [Now before you start asking me why he sleeps in his swing like others do, we fought very hard to find ways to get him to take a nap and go to sleep at night, the SWING WORKS! Now his noon nap is his short nap, so he only sleeps in it for no more than 45 min. The rest of the time we put him in it to go to sleep, then move him to his bed once he is asleep.] Well after a little while I went to check on him to make sure he was asleep and just to look in on him, and I found him like this!!

Now I am not sure how he ended up like this. Sometimes he cries for a few moments when I lay him down, but he didn't this time. He chit-chatted with his bear (now on the floor), then fell asleep like this! Sometimes I wish we had a video camera in his room to see just exactly what he does to get into positions like this one. We also went to the park today. It was SO nice outside, like 70 degrees and I broke down and let him try playing in the sand, he didn't seem that impressed.

And who needs a paper shredder when you have "Matthew the Paper-eater"!!!

LOL!!!

Of course he is a genius! Was there ever any doubt?
