A day at the Zoo

Mimi and Papa wanted to take Matthew out on a fun day before he started school, so we went to the zoo. It was extremely hot, and because of that some of the animals were hiding, but we did get to see some and we saw what Matthew really wanted to see... Alligators and Crocodiles. I don't know why, but that's what he wanted to see!

We also got to feed the Lories which was really fun!

One just jumped on my hand and started eating!!

Matthew was tentative at first, but he got into it!

Alexander loves birds and was just enamored with the Lories and even tried to grab them!

While Matthew and I were getting popsicles, Alexander decided he would climb up and get Bubba's cup and get his straw, this boy attacks any cup with a straw!!

Then he just had to have Bubba's popsicle! He ate more of it than Matthew did! He wasn't in to sharing either, if I took it out of his mouth he threw a fit and would try to climb or whatever to get it back! LOL

The we got to see some beautiful Butterflies, but they were flying around so much, I couldn't get real good pics, although one did land on me, guess he liked my shirt! LOL


While we were looking at the Butterflies, Alexander was taking a nap.

Alexander did really well. He was much more interested in stuff than Matthew was when we took him about this same age. Matthew just like ceiling fans and cars, Alexander really liked all the birds! even the pigeons LOL

Of course we had to do the train!

Alexander's first train ride, he really enjoyed it!
