I don't know why he is so fascinated with this but he is. We tried to keep him from playing with it but to no avail, so we cleaned it and gave in. It's the only thing he has ever played with so intently, he can literally get hours of entertainment out of this one object.
Yes that is a trash can lid. It used to be on the trash can we used for his diapers. We keep the can in his closet and everytime it was open, he would go in and play with, no matter how much we would take him away and tell him no. Then one day he just came strolling out of his room with it. What can you do.
